If the industry grapevine is to be believed, several Indian distributors of Tubelight are set to meet Salman Khan in a bid to recover their losses. The star's films collect Rs 100 crore in three days, but this time, Tubelight reached the three-figure mark after a week.
Single screen owners in small cities have suffered the most, with many incurring losses of over Rs 1 crore. It is said the total loss amounts to Rs 40-50 crore. The distributors are hopeful that Sallu will pay off their damages. Meanwhile, with Tubelight, and Khan's act in it, being panned by critics and cinephiles alike, director Kabir Khan has disappeared from the scene. He is said to be disheartened and has kept away from social media too.
