About a month ago, Kriti Sanon had shared her excitement about doing her second consecutive film set in Lucknow - Farhan Akhtar-starrer 'Lucknow Central' - after Ashwini Iyer's Bareilly Ki Barfi. But now, we hear the leggy actress has bowed out of the Nikkhil Advani production venture citing date issues.

In an interview last month, Nikkhil had told us that the film would go on floors on January 4 next year, but a source in the know informs, "The film was originally supposed to start rolling by September-end. Due to a few production issues, it got delayed. Kriti has already allocated her January dates for another project. She was left
with no option but to opt out of the film."

Given the short notice, the makers could audition only a limited number of aspirants. "Nikkhil and the film's director, Ranjit Tiwari, liked Saiyami the most," adds the insider.

While Nikkhil did not respond to calls and messages, Saiyami declined to comment on the development. When we reached out to Ranjit, he maintained a "no comment" stance. However, sources close to Kriti confirmed her exit from the film.
