Dancing to the tune of popular Bollywood numbers, the top Indian stars led by the Shah Rukh himself, created a personal bond with the thousands of people attending their show by interacting with them.
In fact, towards the end of the show, Khan gifted one of the attending couple -- wife an Afghan American and husband an American ¿ a Harley-Davidson motor cycle.
"This is the best day of my life," Najira, an Afghan American, told PTI after she and her husband Jimmy was invited on to the stage by Shah Rukh for live interaction.
"I have never dreamt in my life that I would meet my super star Shah Rukh Khan," Najira said.
This was for the first time in 10 years that Shah Rukh was performing live in the US Capital, which attracted several thousand to the large Jiffy Lube Live, which has a capacity of more than 12,000.
"I have come to Washington DC after ten years. A lot of thing has changed here. But, one thing has not changed ¿ the love and affection from its people," SRK told the audience that mainly comprised of people from South Asian origin ¿ India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan.
Given the huge success of the concert, Manish Sood of Intense Entertainment said Shah Rukh should come to Washington DC soon.
"Residents of Greater Washington area would not have to wait for 10 years to watch King Khan live," he said.
Christened 'SLAM', Shah Rukh is currently on a five city US-tour to promote his film 'Happy New Year', which is scheduled to be released next month.
With his first stop in Houston on Friday, the visiting Indian stars performed in New York / New Jersey on Saturday. New weekend, he is scheduled to perform in Chicago and San Francisco, with an in-between live show in Vancouver, before heading to London.
In his brief live interaction with the audience, in between his dances, Abhishek said that this was his second trip to Washington DC.
"Last time I was here with someone called Big B. We got to immortalise this moment," he said after which he took a video selfie with the crowd and posted it on the social media.
