Action heats up as the fights get more intense
With just the last set of elimination fights left, the atmosphere on SFL Challengers couldn’t be more electrified with the phrase ‘Saving the best for the last’ holding true in this case. There have been several interesting fights on the show, however fans of the show would agree that the last elimination round which aired this weekend was the best so far.

The female bout was between Lipika Uniyal and Manjit Kolekar whereas the male bout between an amateur boxer, Neeraj Goyat and a wushu exponent, Sandeep Yadav guaranteed fireworks. As customary present on the sidelines was chairman, Raj Kundra along with this week’s celebrity guests, Jackky Bhagnani and Isha Koppikar. First up was the female fight with Lipika taking the first round ending strongly applying the rear naked choke to Manjit, with just the bell indicating the end of round saving Manjeet from tapping out.
After success in the first round Lipika started aggressively with the aim to finish the fight soon, however Manjit recovered from the disappointment of round one by landing several significant blows and clearly taking round two. With both fighters taking one round each the third round had a lot riding on it; Manjit carried forward her positive momentum from the previous round controlling the round and managing to win the round and fight via a unanimous decision.
The male fight on the other hand ended even before anyone had a chance to analyse what approach each of the fighters were taking. When Neeraj and Sandeep, two fighters who prefer the stand up game were drawn to face each other it was clear that the fight wouldn’t go the entire three rounds, conversely a time of just one minute 41 seconds in the very first round surprised everyone.
Sandeep got out of the blocks quickly unleashing a barrage of deadly kicks and punches on Neeraj who had no idea what hit him; even though Neeraj tried to mount some offence of his own it just was too much for him as he ended up on the floor from Sandeep’s attacks. Sandeep took advantage of his opponent falling on the ground and successfully submitted him via a rear naked choke moving on to the semi final. Now with the semi-final line up all set we can be sure to expect the fights to get even more intense and action packed.
