The withdrawal of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes has sent citizens into a tizzy and the film industry, too, is reeling under the cash drought. The current situation has now forced Milan Luthria to postpone the shoot of his next, 'Baadshaho'. The Ajay Devgn-starrer will get rolling in Mumbai on November 29, instead of November 19 as planned.
Says a unit hand, "The government's sudden move has caused widespread panic among people. Payments to junior artistes are made in cash on a daily basis and without them, work flow is affected. The makers felt it would be wiser to start shooting when things settle down."

Confirming the development, Luthria says, "We have had a minor change in schedule, a little over a week. My production team had to make arrangements for daily payments, like in all businesses, but is adapting quickly."
He adds the star cast — Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Vidyut Jamwal and Ileana D'Cruz — was forthcoming in reworking dates despite last minute changes in schedule, "All actors have been cooperative and understanding. It's a small snag in the face of a phenomenal moment in our financial history," Luthria says, referring to the demonetisation decision.
