Riteish is ready to make a splash

Riteish Deshmukh is ruing the fact that it's stopped raining. Not the sort who would wax lyrical about the season, he still feels that "chai tastes different in the monsoons." A true Mumbaikar who has fond memories associated with the season, Riteish tells CS about the five things that he loves about the city rains:u00a0

1 A chai break
Tea never tastes better, than in the monsoons. On my ideal day, I would probably be at home with a hot cup of tea and a book. When I was in college, the chaiwala outside my college was my favourite hangout during the rains.u00a0

Who: Riteish Deshmukh
What: Talking about everything that he loves doing in the rains

2 Wash out
I think that Mumbai looks the cleanest during the rains. While I'm driving, I love looking at those clean buildings which otherwise look dull. They seem as though they've been freshly painted. I've always enjoyed noticing buildings since I also happen to be an architect. (Laughs)

3 Easy breezy
The cool breeze during the rains is enough to recharge your batteries. If I am tired or stressed-out, I just take a stroll along a beach or my garden. Nothing is as refreshing and rejuvinating as a five minute walk in the rains.

4 Love is all around
Rains are romantic. The weather changes instantly and you just start feeling more romantic somehow. Beaches, coffee shops, the bhutta (corn) thelas suddenly get crowded, and that's a great sight. If you don't find me outdoors during the rains, it'll probably be because I'm at home listening to some soft romantic music.

5 Football fever
Playing cricket isn't easy in the rains, but trust me, this is the best time to hone your football skills. This is the one thing that I need to do every monsoons - get my friends together for a football match. Everything else can wait.u00a0
