Ranveer Singh's presence at Sunday's charity football match alongside Ranbir Kapoor may become a frequent spotting as former contemplates officially joining league
Ranveer Singh is apparently set to join the All Stars Football Club (ASFC), a league that comprises actors Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Sidharth Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapur, Arjun Kapoor and Dino Morea, among others. The team was surprised when Singh turned up at a practice session on Sunday. It was unusual, because the Bajirao Mastani actor has never played a match with ASFC before.

Producer Bunty Walia, who runs and manages the team, tells mid-day, "I have been asking Ranveer to play for ASFC for a while. We were surprised when he dropped by and were amazed to see his game. He played like a pro. He's a great team guy and bonded well with everyone."
Walia adds that Singh, a football aficionado, has agreed to participate in the charity matches. "Ranveer has committed that whenever we have a charity match, he will play. But getting him to sign on the dotted line and be part of the ASFC will take some more cajoling. But I will manage it over a period of time," laughs Walia.

Revealing how the actor learnt about Sunday's practice session, Walia says, "We met at a wedding in Kolkata last week and discussed football. He wanted me to inform him about our next practice session. I messaged him about the Sunday session and he was there."
Walia says that playing for the team will give Singh a chance to spend more time with his B-Town pals. "The good thing about being part of the team is that the actors get to bond with each other — whether it is Abhishek, Ranbir, Ranveer, Sidharth or Aditya, or the younger lot comprising Ishaan [Khattar] and Adaar and Armaan [Jain]."
