The actress, who is essaying the role of the Olympic champ in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production directed by Omung Kumar, has been training for a while now. PC however apparently wants the punching bag to be in a location convenient for her -- near her home at Raj Classic at Versova. However the star is said to be in no mood to allow it be installed at her home or even her parents’ flat who live in the same building -- she would prefer it in the complex’s premises elsewhere. She might perhaps be worried about the hook -- that is needed to hang the bag -- might harm the interiors of her swanky home.
Says a source from the building where she resides, “She owns quite a few flats in the building. It appears that she does not want to tamper with the ceiling in any of her homes in the building. Adds the source, “As she is busy with her commitments, her father Ashok Chopra has been coordinating with the society folks to install it on the ground floor of the premises.”
Considering her star status, the society apparently has allowed her to install the bag in a common area, which is not too public. Incidentally, a lot of Bollywood folk reside in the complex which includes PC’s alleged ex Shahid Kapoor and his father Pankaj Kapoor.
Priyanka’s spokesperson however maintains, “As far as I know, the punching bag already exists in the complex and it was not done for Priyanka.”
Not within earshot
In 2008, the Chopras had an issue with the neighbours’ children who play and make a noise in the building. They had voiced a concern at the noise that the kids make in the building especially from those residing on the floors above and below their apartments.
Nothing to do with Jaju
As reported ‘Priyanka buries the hatchet’ (Hitlist, May 11), the actress has been approached for Firoz Nadiadwala’s sequel of Welcome 2 in which her ex-manager Prakash Jaju is the project designer. PC’s spokesperson says, “Priyanka will never be a part of any project that has Prakash Jaju involved. There is no question of a patch up.”
When Harman paid the price: In 2010, PC’s ex-flame Harman Baweja was shown the door from Firoz Nadiadwala’s project Power (which never saw light of day). The project also had Jaju who raised an objection and told the makers to choose between the finance for the film and Harman. u00a0
