Actor-producer-director Pooja Bhatt is rarely spotted at social events. Well it's because the lady has been spending a lot of time at her farmhouse in Kalote. All set to kickstart Jism 2, Pooja chats with CS about all that's keeping her busy:
Back to work
Well, Jism 2 is on my priority right now. As the film was a huge hit, we have to work hard at making a fitting sequel to it. There is a lot to be worked on (smiles).
I am reading a number of scripts, and might start work on a couple of more projects sometime later. But right now, I want to take one film at a time. Once the script of this film is finalised, we will start shooting hopefully quite soon.u00a0
Home and away
I am living life to the fullest at my farmhouse in Kalote. Sometimes, you need to get away from the madness of Bollywood and life in Mumbai to appreciate it.u00a0 It also keeps me sane and grounded.
The quiet natural surroundings inspire me to do better work wise. I tend to my garden, play with the dogs, cook and entertain friends at my place. I also read a lot. I am very glad that I made the decision to shift there five years ago.u00a0
Through the pages
My books keep me company in my farmhouse. I am a voracious reader. You will find a lot of fiction at my place. I love South American writers like Octavio Paz, Jorge Luis Borges, Pablo Neruda and others.
I also read a lot of philosophical stuff like UG Krishnamurthi's books. One of the blessings of being born in the non-TV generation is that you can make books your friends.u00a0
