Composer duo Sajid-Wajid, who began their career in Bollywood with Salman Khan's 'Pyar Kiya To Darna Kiya' and have mostly worked for his films, say they are happy to step out of the superstar's camp
The duo recently gave music in Sajid Khan's 'Housefull 2', Kunal Kohli's 'Teri Meri Kahaani' and Prabhu Deva's 'Rowdy Rathore'. The real life brothers are happy that the industry is finally realising their willingness to work with other filmmakers and actors.

"It was a perception that we were working only with Salman but I am glad that is going away gradually. We just had a success in the form of 'Housefull 2' where we worked with Sajid Khan for the first time," Wajid said.
"Our soundtrack in 'Teri Meri Kahaani' is a surprise. Kunal Kohli had different kinds of expectations but what he has got out of us is extraordinary." The duo started their career in 2007 and have given music in 13 films out of which eight starred Salman.
"We did five films in a row with Salman and would now be doing three more. After 'Dabangg 2', we are also doing 'Kick' and 'Sher Khan' with him. Music created by us would be memorable for sure, whether it is for Salman bhai's films or others," Sajid said.
When asked who is their source of inspiration, Wajid said, "RD Burman! The kind of range that this man carried, he could compose just about everything. He has given different kind of songs, whether massy, classy or totally filmy.
"We also strive for that while keeping in mind the commercial aspects of things. After all, we have to compose music for all strata of society. Also, whatever we make has to be as per the project instead of our own wish-list."
They will also be giving music for 'Chasme Baddoor' remake. "David Dhawan's 'Chashme Baddoor' is the remake of a cult movie, we have to be very different in presentation of our music," Sajid said.u00a0
