A source says, “The examining committee rejected the film’s promos since there were objections from right wing groups over the controversial poster. But Leela Samson, the chairperson of CBFC, has apparently decided to take a firm stand without worrying about the moral police.”
The source adds that the film’s promo will also have Anushka Sharma in it; she will be shown speaking about P.K’s character and she’ll try to figure out who he actually is.”
It may be recalled here that when the poster was released, it shocked many people and drew mixed reactions. A PIL was also filed against the actor, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Raj Kumar Hirani for promoting vulgarity. The film is slated to release on December 19.
