Buzz is that Rajesh Vasani, who owns the remake rights of Satte Pe Satta, is charging a bomb, also, Rohit Shetty is not happy with the way the script is turning out to be.
Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan
If trade sources are to be believed, Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty's long-in-the-planning remake of Satte Pe Satta (1982) won't roll anytime soon. Buzz is that Rajesh Vasani, who owns the remake rights, is charging a bomb. Add to this the talk that Shetty is apparently not happy with the way the script has turned out. Khan said the film will be announced by Diwali.

For months, the film has been the talk of the town. Right from Katrina Kaif to Deepika Padukone, the names of many actresses popped up. And then, it was announced that Anushka Sharma would be reprising the role of Hema Malini. And Amitabh Bachchan's Ravi would be essayed by Hrithik Roshan.
Another side of the story also stated that a Roshan too wasn't pleased with the draft that was announced to him; however, nothing was confirmed about the same. The film has been in the news for a long time, and we expected an announcement by now, as aforementioned. Given how unpredictable the Hindi film industry can be, it seems the wait just got a bit longer. Also, Shetty is busy with Sooryavanshi, which stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, and the scale and action of the film are likely to be bigger and grander than the earlier cop films he has made, Singham and Simmba.
Fans that were waiting for the remake might be disappointed if the project is shelved, but given Khan and Shetty have collaborated for a film they truly believe in, we are also hopeful things will fall into place. The question is, with which actors. A piece of news dropped on social media that Khan has approached Shah Rukh Khan for the role, will this turn out to be true? Time to wait and watch!
