In a first for a Bollywood film, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Monsoon Shootout trailer lets audience decide how story plays out
Have you ever been disappointed with the way a film unfolded; convinced that it would have been more appealing had the protagonist dealt with a situation differently? The trailer of Nawazuddin Siddiqui's next allows you to have your way with the developments. A concept common in novels, Siddiqui's Monsoon Shootout will let viewers decide how the protagonist, played by Vijay Verma, responds in a crucial situation in the film. The trailer will then progress in one of two ways that the viewer decides.

The film chronicles the struggle of a rookie cop who finds himself in a testing situation. Producer Guneet Monga confirms the development. "The film's story and narrative is at odds with what the audiences have seen till date. The central character, played by Vijay, gets only a few moments to decide whether he should shoot a criminal suspect, or not. It intends to highlight how people's choices define their lives. This is the first time ever that the audience will get to choose what they want to see when the trailer releases this week," Monga says.

The trailer, Monga adds, will stop at a crucial junction, and the viewer will decide whether Verma takes the shot, or not. While Amit Kumar's film will be a single narrative, the two trailers will highlight how the developments are distinctly perceived by the protagonist and the antagonist.
