When asked if he feels that small budget films are not promoted the way high budget films are done, he told IANS: "I agree. Small (budget) films are not promoted on huge scale in India. My film 'Miss Lovely' was appreciated worldwide and made money outside India too but it didn't run here."
"It was a film made in Rs. 1.5 crore and there were hardly any promotions. I want the small films to be promoted so that people get to know about the film. People knew that the film has achieved a lot but they didn't know that it has been released so that affects your film," he added.
The actor is currently busy promoting his film 'Badlapur'. Directed by Sriram Raghavan the film also features Varun Dhawan, Yami Gautam, Huma Quereshi among others.
