The event, set to be held in Arles, France from July 18 to 21, gathers influencers from the communications industry, culture, architecture and other fields, to debate on crucial issues. Given that Manto shed light on details that few were willing to discuss, the film will mark the talking point for Das, as she aims to make a point on the importance of truth in cinema. The actor-director tells mid-day she is set to participate in two sessions. The first, alongside Isabelle Hudon, Canada's Ambassador to France, will shed light on the role of women in society, while the second will be the closing key note address on 'Art & Truth.'
Das says, "I am delighted to be invited to a special edition on 'Truth' by Les Napoleons. As a speaker in two sessions, I am glad to have got the opportunity to discuss subjects that are close to my heart. Manto helped me delve into these topics. The complex relationship between truth and art is something worth exploring.
Manto never gave up on being truthful, despite six court cases, and opposition from friends and family. I am also looking forward to hearing the other eminent speakers."
