"We like a few stories that we have shortlisted and will zero in on one soon to start scripting. I cannot reveal if it will be a continuation of the first part or not, since that will depend on the idea that we pick. But, the original cast will remain and Saif Ali Khan will have the broadest portion."
The news follows reports of directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK previously indicating that the theme for part two may not revolve around zombies. However, Kemmu suggests that the unit hasn't entirely eliminated the concept.

The first instalment opened to bleak numbers, but earned a steady viewership over its opening weekend. Meanwhile, Kemmu is also working on a biopic on eminent lawyer Ram Jethmalani. "It's a production that Soha [Ali Khan, wife] and I are working on," he says. mid-day had previously reported that the duo was apparently involved in a tussle over the rights of the film. Jethmalani, it was suggested, had already given the rights to another filmmaker.
