After the controversy-ridden launch of Kasuri’s book, Neither A Hawk Nor A Dove, in the city, he was keen to visit the yesteryear star who had brokered for a peace deal between India and Pakistan.
Kasuri stated that Dilip Kumar had twice gone on secret missions to Pakistan. He was flown to Islamabad by the Indian government during the Zia-ul-Haq regime and also at a later date. Kasuri spent over an hour with Kumar and his wife Saira Banu discussing films and politics. PIC/ PTI
