Karan Johar has been receiving hate mails for supporting Housefull. Apparently, everyone does not share his belief that the industry is one fraternity and celebrating each other's successes is necessary. This has not gone down well with many of his fans, and he has been receiving several hate mails and messages. He claims some of them are downright abusive. The messages have upset Karan, who feels that it is his prerogative to choose to congratulate the filmmakers he wants to. He is also surprised as he had congratulated the makers of It's A Wonderful Afterlife too, but no one has been offended by that.
