Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna become proud parents for the second time
Twinkle and Akshay Kumar have welcomed a baby girl into the world. The couple was blessed with their second child early morning at 6.30 am on Tuesday when his wife delivered at the Breach Candy Hospital in the city.

Incidentally, Akshay had been travelling to Ahmedabad and then to Jaipur where he had gone to promote his upcoming film. When he learnt that his wife was being rushed to the labour room, he flew back to Mumbai last night to be with her.u00a0
Akshay, who married Twinkle in 2001, already has a ten-year-old son Aarav and wished for a baby girl. In an earlier interview he had said, “I am extremely delighted with the news of me becoming a father again. We are not aware if it’s a boy or a girl and the only wish I have is that it is a healthy baby.”
His wish seems to have come true. In a press statement he said, “We are blessed with a lovely baby girl who looks just like her mother and grandmother and I have no words to express my happiness. I would like to thank everyone for their blessings and best wishes.” After Akshay’s father-in-law Rajesh Khanna’s recent demise, the family can now celebrate the birth of the newborn.u00a0
