Apparently that's the reason why the actress lost out on Prakash Jha's upcoming film
Talk about aging gracefully in Bollywood. Ironically, for Asin, who is just 26-year-old, her apparent ‘old look’ became the reason why she was booted out of Prakash Jha’s upcoming film.

We have learnt that according to the director, the actress looks too old to romance the 36-year-old Abhay Deol, in the film. Abhay incidentally replaced Abhishek Bachchan who was earlier cast for the lead role.
Asin, in the past, has been cast opposite stars like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Aamir Khan. A well-placed source from the film based on the lives of naxalites reveals, “Abhishek opted out of the film citing date problems and Abhay Deol was roped in his place.
Asin had been cast opposite Abhishek. The director wanted to retain her but he felt that she looked a tad too old to be romancing Abhay. So they decided to replace her with a younger actress. The newcomer Esha Gupta (who is also doing a movie with the Bhatts) has replaced her.”
On being asked if it was the age factor that forced him to replace Asin with a younger actress, director-producer Prakash Jha shot back, “Who says that I had cast Abhishek or Asin? There are all sorts of rumours about the casting of my film. I also heard that I had cast Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn.
None of that is true. The people I have cast are doing the film (Read Abhay Deol, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai and Esha Gupta).” Asin’s spokesperson denies the story saying, “Asin couldn’t do the film because her dates were clashing with another Abhishek Bachchan starrer.” u00a0
