Tusshar says, "I was to have the bash on February 7 but Kareena told me she would be in New Delhi, so I preponed it by a day. She was my first co-star and the first on my invitee list, so there was no way I could party without her."

Celina Jaitly was heard cribbing that she wasn't invited, to which Tusshar replied, "You are such a close friend that you don't need an invite." At the late-night bash there was Indian and Italian food with DJ Bosco playing.

The highlight was the Golmaal Shots and Mexican testicles Tusshar was seen offering this tequila concoction with Tabasco sauce to everyone. The actor's Golmaal Returns buddies Shreyas Talpade, Arshad Warsi and director Rohit Shetty were seen gulping them down.

Though both Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were invited, neither attended. Sister Ekta Kapoor was around but refrained from pouring tequila shots down everyone's throats something she usually does at her parties.

The Movies I Loved Growing Up

The movies that had an impact on me and made me feel like being a filmmaker were mostly Hindi films. I didn't have access to many English ones. All these movies encapsulate my journey from when I started thinking about cinema to the point where I decided what I wanted to do.

Shiva: This film was a wake- up call. It was different and made me react to the performances which were held back. It had some really powerful scenes where a goon tells Nagarjuna to get out of the elections in a small tea stall and Nagarjuna asks 'yeh dhamki hai kya' and spills the tea on his face. Then when the goons are coming to kill them, Shiva softly says, "Chotu rod nikal." It was about the anticipation. This movie made me think aboutu00a0 the kind of cinema I liked.

Roja: It got me seriously thinking about making films. I'd never heard of Mani Ratnam or A R Rahman. I didn't even know what a cinematographer was. I remember I wanted to attend the St Xavier's College musical night but didn't get the passes, so ended up seeing Roja with my mom and sister. When I watched the movie, I was spellbound from the first shot of Wasim Khan, the terrorist, to the first song Dil Hai Chhota Sa. This is when I started thinking that perhaps I might have a future if this kind of cinema becomes popular.

Sarfarosh: It changed my life. I saw this movie when I was in college and it was perfect for the time understated, realistic, dramatic, and dealing with important issues. Aamir was great and the script was really taut. As dramatic as you'd like and yet as believable. There was nothing that would insult your intelligence.

The untouchables: I saw it when I was a kid. The fact that the hero was non-flashy, an accountant is one of his comrades, and yet he's this larger-than-life person you look up to. Sean Connery's death scene came when it was least expected. The action movies I wish to make will have all these elements. The one person you look up to, dies before the climax and then you have to fight the last battle yourself.

Parinda: It completely blew my socks off. Nana Patekar was a complete revelation. Jackie's performance was probably the best he has ever done.

MUMBAI CHAKAaCHAK: Preity Zinta and (below) Raveena Tandon at the Carter Road seafront at Bandra on Sunday as part of the Mumbai Clean-Up Drive as part of NDTV's Greenathon.

Of Farah's Parsi habit

Farah Khan has a tiny dustbin fitted in her Mercedes (gifted by buddy SRK). She says, "It's the Parsi in me, I can't dirty the streets by throwing kachra out of my moving car." Three cheers to the Om Shanti Om director from Mumbaikars, present and future.

Spotted

Dino Morea with ex-flame Nandita Mahtani, naturally sans Lara Dutta at China House on Saturday night. While Dino was dressed in denims and white shirt, Nandita was seen wearing a short black dress. The duo was with a group of friends and were seen having a good time.

Shaad Ali on Friday night at Blue Frog, Parel. The Jhoom Barabar Jhoom director was burning up the dance floor in a strange manner. A pub-hopping birdie chirps to say, "It was as if he had put his hand in a socket and was getting electrocuted!"

RAZA'S BOLLYWOOD

Q What would have been the title of Dev D had the heroine played the alcoholic instead of the hero?
