Of the two sculptors that worked on Hrithik's wax figure, Colin Jackman worked on the head part, while Brad Sims was given charge of the actor's body.

"Hrithik's eyes are distinctive,u00a0 hazel green in colour. Also, he has got a distinctive fleck in his left eye.

These detail had to be incorporated in the wax model," explained Jackman. "Besides it was a challenge to get the physique right."

A plaster cast of his right hand was taken so that his double thumb could be accurately reproduced.

Jackman also revealed that the Tussauds team took, "lots of measurements and photos" before starting the task. "Some 500 shots of the face and body were clicked. The sittings took about two hours.

We had to put him on a turntable to take photos all round his body." "Then we would go away and start sculpting midway," recalled Jackman.

"We wanted to call him for a second time too, just to make sure if we had got some of the measurements correct. He was very sporting," he added.

At the unveiling of the statue, Hrithik's toddler sons climbed up on the stage for a paparazzi shot. There was a sigh of relief among the people when they stopped and stood beside their real dad!
