Original producers to remake Arundhati
After South remake and Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini raked in big money, many southern producers are now eyeing Hindi makers to remake their films.
Case in point: this year's Telugu blockbuster Arundhati is on its way to Bollywood soon.
An industry source says, "Sonu Sood-starrer Arundhati smashed all previous records in the 80-year-old Telugu film industry.
There are a number of Bollywood makers lining up to buy this film's remake rights.
Madhu Manthena (co-producer; Ghajini) and director Priyadarshan want to make the film in Hindi and huge amounts are being offered."
The source further adds, "The Tamil dubbing rights of the film were sold for Rs 9 crore and makers in Bollywood are offering somewhere close to 10 crores.
Now the original makers have now decided to remake the film in Hindi themselves on a larger canvas. Sonu Sood is part of the remake."
Sonu Sood says, "I am very excited to be repeated in the film.
The original was shot for over 260 days and cost the makers close to 20 crores to make but when I get phone calls from my fans and well-wishers telling me they have watched the movie 40-odd times.

It is a different high for me altogether and all the hard work seems to be paying off! We are going to start shooting the Hindi version sometime in June.
Right now, the producer Shyam Prasad Reddy is looking for a suitable director to make the film. The main lead girl is going to be finalised in a couple of days when Mr Reddy comes back from the States."
