The film industry is soon to get its first mobile medical service. Sources said actor Arjun Kapoor’s grandmother, Sattee Shourie, will donate an ambulance to Filmcity Studios on November 13.

"There is no health infrastructure in our industry. In the event of accidents, injury or sickness, there is no facility for workers to be taken to the hospital. So, we have decided to donate an ambulance,” said Mini Shourie, Arjun’s aunt.
Mini added that the ambulance will be stationed at Filmcity Studios. “In case of an emergency, it can cater to workers at various locations that don’t have quick access to medical centres,” she said.
There are also plans to start a dispensary in the Filmcity premises. Dilip Pithwa, general secretary of Federation of Western India Cine Employees, said, “We have spoken to the MD of Filmcity to allot a location. We also plan to have doctors associated with Being Human Foundation as visiting faculty to the dispensary to address health issues of the workers.”
