This shy, docile bahu of Indian telly is all set to show her spunk and face some risky stunts. As Smita Bansal gears up for a stint in an adventure reality show, she talks to CS about her brush with adventure so far:
The girl zone
I've had a very sheltered childhood and haven't done anything extraordinary or out of the way. I was a pampered kid and am now a pampered wife. Even if I am not scared, I like to pretend to be docile and would want to be protected. I am all girlie and haven't even shooed off a lizard in my room by myself. The most courageous thing I ever did was to get married and deliver a baby! Now I feel I can do anything under this sun.
Fear not
I've accepted this challenge as I have a list of phobias to overcome. I get vertigo after I go a certain height. And I also have a water phobia; it gets difficult for me to breath under water. I also have a reptile phobia, especially from snakes. The list is never-ending. I have an acute migraine problem so if I'm doing anything strenuous like rock climbing, I am sure to pass out. Also I have two left feet, so I can't even walk properly without falling at least once. Recently at an event, I was the only one to have tripped on the ramp (laughs).
But what has helped me in my decision is my mental strength. According to me, if you can do it in your mind, you can also do it physically.u00a0
Packing a punch
When I think about adventure, the first thing that comes to my mind is bungee jumping. I think I'll love the thrill. My favourite action hero is Amitabh Bachchanji. Though people think that he is an angry young man, I love to watch his fights and action. Also, Jackie Chan and Sylvester Stalon are among my favourite action heroes.
