Intimate gathering
The entire Khan clanu00a0-- Fardeen and wife Natasha, mother Sundari, sister Laila with her newly-wedded husband, his dad's entire Mumbai staff including his business manager RK Tiwari all gathered at Feroz's farm in the garden city. The insider adds, "It was an intimate gathering of family and close friends and people who were closely associated with Ferozsaab over the years."
There was a Quran recital in the morning followed by the feeding of the poor. "In the afternoon, poor people were again fed and blankets and clothes given to them near the masjid at Ferozsaab's home while Fardeen and the family and their staff visited Ferozsaab's grave at the Shia kabristan near Johnson market in Bangalore to offer their prayers around 4.30 pm." The day ended with another Quran reading in the evening, followed by a quiet family dinner."
A friend of the family is full of praise for the Khan lad, "It's almost as if Fardeen has grown up overnight in the last year and assumed his dad's responsibilities with great ease. He took charge and ensured that the ceremony was carried out with great dignity. While Fardeen will stay back in Bangalore for a few days, the rest of the family and staff members return today."
Last month, Feroz's daughter Laila married Farhan Furniture-wala. In his father's absence, the older brother ensured that everything went off smoothly. Impressed by the manner in which her brother took over the wedding arrangements, the bride told us at the time, "My brother has filled my father's shoes. He gave his full heart to me. We are there for each other always."
