Yesterday evening, the vigilance team of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) barged in on the set of producer Mahendra Dhariwal's film, 'Bhaiyyaji Superhitt', starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta at a studio in Karjat to collect due payment of the members. Sources in the federation allege that the producer has not made payments of over Rs 2 lakh to the members working on the film.

"Multiple cheques issued by Dhariwal dated in 2013 and 2014 bounced. Many of federation's members working on his film have not received payments and the total due is over Rs 2 lakh. Hence the vigilance team had gone to his film's set to demand payment," informs the insider and adds, "Non cooperation was issued against him last year in July. But since he has started shooting without clearing the dues, vigilance team had gone to stall the shoot and demand payment."
When contacted, Dhariwal says, "I am giving them (vigilance team) Rs 2,00,000 as deposit. The federation will refund the money if they find that I had already made the payment after a meeting in May."
Naveen Shetty, member of the federation's vigilance team says, "We are going to have a meeting on May 4 where Dhariwal has to prove that he has already cleared the workers' payment. If he is unable to do so or doesn't turn up, the money will be distributed among the workers."
