An FIR was reportedly registered against filmmaker Shirish Kunder in Hazratganj for his comments on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Shirish, who is known for his tongue-in-cheek tweets, had posted, “Hoping a goon will stop rioting once he’s allowed to rule is like expecting a rapist to stop raping once he’s allowed to rape.” His next tweet read, “Going by the logic of making a goon the CM so that he behaves, Dawood can be CBI director. And Mallya – RBI Director (sic).”

His comments were, perhaps, in response to what Chetan Bhagat had posted on the social networking site: “#YogiAditynath as UP CM. Because when you make the naughtiest guy the class monitor, he behaves the best.”
