Sonal Chauhan's online woes end after she takes legal recourse

Sonal Chauhan was involved in a legal imbroglio recently. The Jannat actress filed a suit against a Pune-based individual who was running a website illegally in her name sonalchauhanworld.com.

Selling pictures

"The person not only ran the website in my name but had the audacity to sell my pictures. He was making a cool amount doing it.

I was advised legal recourse to make him pull off the website," says the furious actress.

When he was sent a legal notice, the person was taken totally unawares.

"He then opted for an out-of-court settlement and now the website has disappeared from the domain."

This is not the first time that Sonal had to take legal action.

As reported 'That ain't me' (Hitlist, February 5) she had to contend with a fake Facebook ID account which was a source of consternation for her.

"People would assume it is me and send replies to messages that I had not posted.

My birth date was also wrong and I had to contend with greetings on the incorrect date," she says.

The actress was furious and angry when she came to know about it from my friends. "I took the help of the cyber police.

Thank goodness both the cases are sorted I am ready to come up with my own official website very soon," she says.
