Soham Shah only wants Sanju for film's title track

Soham Shah wraps up Luck with the shoot of the film's title track with Sanjay Dutt in the coming week. Though the action adventure also stars Imran Khan and debutant Shruti Hassan in pivotal roles, the director is keen that the theme song of the film only feature Dutt.

The track, Aazman Luck Aazman was recently recorded and when Soham heard it, he could not visualise anyone else in it. It has been sung by Sukhwinder Singh and composed by the Salim-Sulaiman duo. The lyrics are by Shabbir Ahmed.

Says Soham, "Since Day One, I wanted only Sanjay Dutt to be in this song. The track is part of the screenplay, and is also the biggest item of the film. With Sukhwinder's voice, only Sanjay could do justice to the video. I wanted a larger-than- life figure performing the theme song," points out Soham.

It is learnt that when the film's producers (Ashta-vinayak) were chalking out the details of the song's shoot with Remo as choreographer, they were wondering if another big star needed to be included for the track. But Soham's choice was clear.

No need to hunt

"Sanjay is the biggest rock star and having him in Luck, I do not need to hunt for any other star outside the film," says Soham.

Luck, which is slated for a June release, also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Danny Dengzongpa, Ravi Kissen, Chitrashi Rawat (of Chak De! fame) besides newbie Snita Mehey who will briefly shake a leg with Dutt in the title track.
