The film's leading actress Parineeti Chopra also found herself in the midst of a fan frenzy generated by her co-star when they started their Delhi leg of food-trail with Miranda House, a residential college for women.
Despite many security personnel deployed around the actors, the over-enthusiastic female fans of Aditya did not leave any stone unturned to get the attention of the 'Aashiqui 2' star right from singing his romantic songs (from previous films) to clicking selfies with him.
"I love when Aditya gets female attention. Girls are going crazy for him and I feel good to witness it through my own eyes," Parineeti told reporters. The 28-year-old actor, who plays a chef in the film, was happy to witness the madness.
"Who doesn't like such attention? I am enjoying it. The girls here are really sweet. We are having a good time in Delhi. Parineeti and I are excited to try out Delhi food. We have had a lot many delicacies during our promotions in Agra, Jaipur and other places," Aditya said.
The starcast, who turned up for the event after a delay of almost four hours, enjoyed snacks including idli and shawarma in the college hostel's dining area. The college management, however, was not very happy with the mismanagement of the event by the actors' team.
"We had some other plans actually. But everything went haywire because of a huge mismanagement from the managing team. We were supposed to have a chit-chat session with the actors in the hostel's dining area," Pratibha Jolly, Principal of the college, said.
Their visit to the city was a part of their 'food yatra' to promote the film, which is slated for a release on September 19. The release date of this YRF production was pushed only to accommodate this 'food yatra'.
