Deepak says I was tired, explaining to people that I do not want to be a comedian and I just can not do comedy. People assume that I can only do comedy. There is no doubt that I got very popular with Tanu Weds Manu and the Pappu character of Tanu Weds Manu Returns, but I do not want stick to the comedy genre. Several people approached me with roles similar to that of 'Pappi Bhai Sa'.I admit that I got a lot of popularity because of my role in the film. But the movie is based on Tanu and Manu, and their love life, married life. There is not much scope for my role as 'Pappi Bhai Sa' now. Their sweet and sour love story is never ending, and my character's frustration with them cannot be shown again and again. That's why I cannot be a part of 'Tanu Weds Manu 3' if it is ever made.
Deepak Dobriyal further adds that he never joined the film industry to do comedy roles, but he wanted to be a more serious actor. He is now looking out for a variety of roles and will stick to doing some more serious roles. Deepak Dobriyal will be next seen in 'Kaalakandi' along with Saif Ali Khan.
