The title track of Ranbir Kapoor's next, sung by Isshq Bector and Shree has their names strangely omitted from the credits

Credit crunch for 'Besharam' singers?

Honey Singh’s last minute addition to the list of those contributing to the music of Chennai Express came as a rather rude surprise to composer duo, Vishal-Shekhar. After much hullabaloo, the SRK starrer included his Lungi Dance towards the end of the film. In a move perhaps similar to this, Isshq Bector’s song in Abhinav Kashyap’s upcoming film starring Ranbir Kapoor will also be credited to the musician once the film releases.

According to Isshq, it was his friendly relations with the film’s producer, Himanshu Mehra that he decided to lend his voice. Currently the title track of the film has been playing as part of the promos, but Isshq or his partner Shree’s name has not been credited. Says the singer, “This song was a last minute addition since we know Himanshu very well. We composed the song and he wrote the lyrics then he played it for Abhinav, who really liked it and asked us to sing it.

However he told us that since Lalit Pandit has done the entire album for the film, they would give me credit on the CD cover and in the end credits of the film. We hope that once the film releases, people get to know about our contribution.” Himanshu says, “Isshq and Shree will be credited in the film and the CD cover and all platforms as guest composers.”u00a0
