She says, "I love the feel-good factor associated with being alone in a store and choosing nice stuff." Shoes, clothes, bags and perfumes are her weaknesses. She tells CS about her shopping habits:

Solo shopper

I never plan to shop. It's just that I enter a store and end up shopping. I do most of my shopping abroad as I always find great fits there. I'm such an expert shopper that I just have to look at a top or a dress to know if it'll fit me.

That way, I save myself the trial room rounds. I like shopping alone, as I like to explore stores at leisure, which at times can be tiring for family or friends. If I visit a city known for its shopping, I do a study of the malls, and visit one that has my favourite brands.u00a0

Global fashion
Fifth Avenue and 34th Street in New York have amazing shops. I get all my fave brands like D&G, DKNY, Miu Miu out there.

I also love shopping in the Kowloon belt in Hong Kong as they have some truly hi-fashion stuff. Hong Kong has some great local brands as well. In fact, it has the best winter collections from across the globe, so if I travel there in winters, I carry two empty suitcases with me to pack my stuff.

The Emirates Mall in Dubai also has some unusual brands. The best part is that these places have great variety, which is missing in Mumbai.

I love buying...

I have a fetish for shoes, clothes, bags and perfumes. If I find basic items like casual tees, track pants and jeans in a good fit, I buy quite a few of them in different colours. I simply love Jimmy Choo shoes and Louis Vuitton bags, though they cost a bomb.

Most of my sportswear and swimwear I get from abroad. The La Perla outlet in Emirates Mall has a great collection of corsets. In India, I like the ethnic wear collections of Sabyasachi and Raghavendra Rathore.
