Pulkit Samrat to set sequences of song with Canadian rapper Tandeep Nagi; duo to shoot in Toronto in August

Pulkit Samrat's upcoming track with Canadian rapper Tandeep Nagi will mark his outing as choreographer too. mid-day has it that Samrat is working with an international team of dancers to set the sequences of the number, which will also see him rap for the first time.

Talking about Ultimate Kudi, Samrat says, "Since it's a pop song, we're including hip hop sequences, apart from those that involve footwork. I have been training for four hours every day. I love to dance, and had adapted it as a form of a workout. I am using dance to physically train myself, apart from hitting the gym regularly," says Samrat, adding that the extra training will help him enhance his physique for the number, which includes many bare-bodied shots.

In order to do justice to his act, Samrat has also altered his appearance to make it "funky but simple". "I've cut my hair, and coloured it for certain portions of the number." Ahead of the Toronto schedule of the song next month, Samrat will also undergo prep work to get the diction and accent right. He's been watching videos of rappers to understand the art. "It's a three-day-long schedule involving 50 foreign artistes."
