Recently, the actress bought her 91-year-old granny a wheelchair, as she'd been having trouble moving around and was confined to one room.
My inspiration
Ameesha, who visited her granny during the Holi week recalls, "My grandma is my idol and inspiration. She's so full of life and positive energy at 91. It's amazing!
She's been my pillar of strength at times when I felt everything was lost. She brings so much positivity to my life.
Grandma isu00a0 very weak. She has become almost immobile, so I got her an easy-to-maneuver wheelchair."
The actress adds that now she can move around the house by herself. "Both of us were so happy when we saw how completely mobile she had become.

It has made her life so much easier for her. Even her doctor said that it was the best thing I could have done for her."
Though Ameesha has asked Sushila to move in with her at her spacious Juhu home, the lady prefers to be independent and stay in Pune.
"Grandma is too attached to her home. Also she likes to live life on her terms and conditions, as she has done all her life.
She loves greenery around her and the peace and tranquility of her two-storeyed apartment in Pune. I visit her as often as I can.
Sometimes when I get just a day off, I go in the morning and drive back at night after spending the day with her.
Sometimes it's difficult and I feel very worry about her staying alone. Like last year when she was very ill for a month."
Making time
This year, the dutiful granddaughter drove down for a day to Pune for Holi. "I spent the entire day with her cooking and feeding her.
I took loads of her favorite mithai, baked her cake and spoilt her rotten before tucking her into her bed at night.
Whenever it's time for me to return, we both became sad." The actress will now get busy with shooting back-to-back songs for Run Bhola Run and Chatur Singh Two Star and rehearsals for her US shows but swears she will make time for her nani whenever she can.
Beau Kanav Puri and his family too spent New Year's with Sushila. "Even Kanav's extremely fond of grandma and goes down to meet her whenever he has time and is in Mumbai," concludes Ameesha.
