With Student Of The Year, Karan Johar gave Bollywood three stars to watch out for - Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. Now that the filmmaker has announced the sequel to the 2012 campus caper, with Tiger Shroff in the lead, many have been wondering if the stars of the original will make a cameo in the Punit Malhotra-directorial. When mid-day recently questioned Bhatt about being a part of the sequel, the actor said it was a possibility given the deep affection that the mentor and his protégés share.

"I am sure Karan [Johar] will find a way to associate us in some way. For all you know, there might be some reference to us in the second part. Never say never! It could be possible," she laughed. The actor is upbeat about Shroff taking the baton from them. "Tiger Shroff is fantastic and I know the film is going to be a lot of fun."

Speaking on the sidelines of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, the actor said that it was Johar's vision that gave her a headstart in the industry. "The love started pouring in right after the release of the film [Student Of The Year]. All the credit goes to the songs and the look of the film. It's been an amazing journey since then."

With Meghna Gulzar's Raazi, Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy and Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra in her kitty, it is obvious that Bhatt has come a long way since her eyelash-batting and designer bag-toting Shanaya act. "Brahmastra is a supernatural drama whereas Gully Boy is gritty. So it's like living in two parallel worlds. Plus, I really admire both, Ranveer [Singh, co-star in Gully Boy] and Ranbir [Kapoor, co-star in Brahmastra]. I am sure I will learn a lot from them. And we also have Amitji [Amitabh Bachchan] in Brahmastra. We have always spoken of wanting to do a film together, and finally, I am sharing screen space with him."
