Ali Fazal's meeting with Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr Mahesh Sharma in Delhi last week sparked off rumours that the actor's British-American biographical film, Victoria & Abdul, will premiere at a notable Indo-UK cultural event in the national capital.
Confirming that the Judi Dench-starrer is indeed being considered for the event, Ali says, "Meeting Dr Sharma was a privilege. I am happy we got to discuss the likelihood of collaborating with the government in their efforts to promote cultural ties."

The government takes several initiatives to promote the arts and films of one particular country every year, and Fazal is glad India chose UK this time. "It's such a wonderful coincidence that this happened when my film is set to hit screens."
