Last month, Pritam's composition 'Bulleya' from Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' came under the scanner for alleged plagiarism. Listeners drew similarities between the track and American rock band Papa Roach's popular track, 'Last Resort'. However, 'Bulleya' singer Amit Mishra rubbishes the claims.
"So far, I have only heard good things about the song. Music lovers have lauded it. I find the plagiarism allegations absurd. People who feel the number is plagiarised should listen to both tracks again; the distinction is clear. It's like calling a rock song a copy of another rock song just because they use the same set of instruments," says Amit.

The singer has worked with Pritam on several projects, including 'Dilwale' ('Manma Emotion Jaage') and 'Dishoom' ('Sau Tarah Ke') and feels 'blessed' to have been able to collaborate with the musician. "It's any young singer's dream, and I am living it so early in my career. Pritam da's numbers have brought me fame and recognition," he says.
