Abhishek Bachchan's career graph may have seen many ups and downs, but he admits he doesn't care much for box office figures. The actor, who owns a kabbadi and football team, says he prefers sporting success to a BO hit.
"I do three to four films a year and it takes a long time to realise that you have achieved what you set out to. It takes a few weeks before a film is declared a hit. But at the end of a game, when the referee blows the whistle and you know your team has won, it gives you instant joy," said Abhishek at an event yesterday.
The actor added that he multi-tasks — movies and sports — out of choice and enjoys it.
"The transition from actor to team owner has been pretty smooth and interesting. Having grown up in Europe, sports was an important part of our curriculum. Even before I became an actor, I was keen to do something with sports. Films and sports both require team work. When working in films, my job is to just act since all decisions on set are taken by the director. As team owner, I am responsible for its management and therefore, I call the shots."
