Actor Ajaz Khan who will soon be seen in an upcoming Ramgopal Varma film is a fitness freak.
"Even if I wasn't an actor, I would still be as particular about my body as I am now. Fitness is an inseparable part of my life," states Ajaz. He shares his fitness secrets with CS:
For the looks
Though I find fit people very attractive, fitness is not just about looks alone. A person should have a healthy body with a positive mindset. I used to work out even when I didn't decide on becoming an actor. I have never been lethargic about physical activity.u00a0
My regime
I work out in the gym five days a week. Normally, I work on one body part in a day. So, one day it's abs and next cardio. I do a lot of heavyweights to build my muscles. I work out for an hour and twenty minutes at a stretch. Other than biceps, my training also includes building core functional strengths.u00a0
Sporty fit
On days when I am not slogging it out in the gym, I am into sports. I do swimming or cycling twice a week, as they are a great form of cardio. Playing cricket or volleyball once a week with my friends is also great for the body and mind. I practise yoga but only occasionally as I lack the patience for it (laughs).

Words of wisdom
Avoid smoking if you want to build a good body as it restricts the supply of oxygen to your muscles. Maintain a constant workout schedule for four-five days of the week. Follow a proper warm up routine and exercise under the observation of a trainer to avoid injury.
