Music composer Rishi Chanda has claimed that the hook line of 'Caller Tune', a song from Vashu Bhagnani's film, 'Humshakals', is very similar to the song, 'Soniye Tu Janiye Naa', that he composed for the Bangla film, 'Khokhababu'. Chanda says, "I will send a letter to Fox Star Studios and Vashu Bhagnani as the tunes are very similar."

When asked why he noticed the similarities so close to the film's release, despite the song being played on TV for quite some time now, Chanda says, "I just started getting calls from Kolkata asking if I had composed the song, 'Caller Tune'. I then realised that it sounds like 'Soniye Tu Janiye Naa'. Having recently shifted to Mumbai, I am now pitching many of my Bangla compositions to Bollywood filmmakers. But if such things happen, it will become really difficult for me.''
The composer now wants the makers of 'Humshakals' to give him a credit for the song; or else he will fight against this copyright infringement, he says. Bhagnani says that he is not aware about this. "I haven't received any letter. As per the new copyright law, these complaints should be addressed to the creator of the song," he says.
Vijay Singh from Fox Star Studios and Humshakals' music composer Himesh Reshammiya were unavailable for comment.
