Director Sabbir Khan feels his upcoming film 'Baaghi- A Rebel for Love' has the potential to turn into a movie franchise if the audience loves the action-drama.

The movie features Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in lead role, who will be seen doing high-octane stunts. "Many people have been telling me that 'Baaghi' has the potential to be turned into a franchise. I haven't thought anything about that yet, but if the audience love the film then why not. It all depends on that," Sabbir told PTI.

The film marks Tiger's second outing with Sabbir, after the 26-year-old made his debut with 'Heropanti'. Also, the newbie has learnt Kalaripayattu, an ancient martial art form from Kerala for 'Baaghi'.

Sabbir said he always had Tiger in mind when the idea of the film was conceived. "I always had him for the role as soon as I cracked the idea. I knew the role was very good for him. After 'Heropanti', which was my second film, and his first, the idea was not to rush with anything. We both were on the same page," he said.

"Tiger is a very secure actor, and we knew that sometimes your second film is more important than the first," Sabbir added. The director said he does not want to stick to the genre of action, but feels it requires extreme hard work to present that on-screen.

"Action is not everyone's cup of tea. It requires technical expertise, proper craft and dedication. It may look terrific on screen but to make that happen you need to know the right thing."

After his directorial debut, which had cameos by Hollywood biggies like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards, Brandon Routh and Holly Valance, Sabbir worked with relatively new actors in his follow up movies.

The director says there is no pressure while working with big stars but new actors come without any baggage.

"There was no pressure or nervousness while working with all the big stars. The only time I was nervous was during the promotions of 'Heropanti' as I was launching Tiger and Kriti Sanon. I had a responsibility to make sure two careers don't fail just because of me."

"The good thing about working with new actors is that they don't have any image or baggage. The con is, sometimes you don't know how the pan India audience will receive them." 'Baaghi' is set to release on April 29.
