It was their first day together.u00a0 Since both are known to be volatile, outspoken and impulsive, fireworks were expected on the sets, tension prevailed on the sets where the two were to shoot.
Also, known to keep away from his directors' sets, producer Karan Johar nervously dropped in on Wednesday afternoon "to see how Chintuji and Sanju are doing together."
The reason for concern? The two last came together in Sahibaan where both wooed Madhuri Dixit on-screen. At the time they shared very cold vibes.
They needn't have worried.
The two hit it off from the word go. Explains Rishi, "We're coming together after so many years under very peculiar circumstances. We both play baddies in Agneepath. So it's like two mean souls being thrown together."
The senior actor is a tad concerned. "I've never played a baddie before. Audiences are going to hate me from the first shot of the film."
About the remake, he adds, "It's a totally different take on Agneepath from what Mr Bachchan had done.
Except Mr Bachchan's character, Danny's and the mother and sister's characters, the entire script has been re-written. My character is completely new in this version of Agneepath."
Though he is not allowed to reveal more Rishi's character influences and instigates Hrithik Roshan's character into a life of crime.
In fact, he's even taking tips from Dutt, who has played the khalnayak (pun intended) in several films.
