In fact when HitList called up to congratulate Shah, he was caught unaware and said, “I had no clue but it is amazing that film that we had made with our blood and sweat will be seen again on the big screen.”
Vikramjit Roy, general manager of NFDC (the film’s producers) says, “Restoration is a very technical job. We had the film’s DOP Binod Pradhan involved with the project after which cinematographer A K Bir took over the restoration process. We will be involving Shah as the film is nearing its release. We were in constant touch when we released the DVD of the film.”
Money matters
When Kundan Shah set out to make the film, he had applied for a loan of R4,00,000. But later, the NFDC decided to fund it. The initial budget of the project was R6,85,000 but the production cost went up and finally it was made at a budget of R 7,25,000.”u00a0
