A source says, "It is not just that we had to cut 63 words from our film to release it in India, but also for a screening in Pakistan. We were asked to edit out some of the religious lines as well as some abusive words. Since we were keen to have a release in the neighbouring country, we agreed to do it."
The director was already upset with the fact that she had to remove nearly 63 words including words like 'saala'. Now, she again had to cut some of the lines for the film's release in Pakistan. Jaspinder says, "Yes, that is true. Pakistan asked us for six further cuts after the Indian Censor Board. The words were like 'maa ki', 'sare bolo jai mata di' and so on."
