The Bless Minorities Development Foundation (BMDF) honoured meritorious students of minority communities for academic excellence at an event at Mayor Hall, Juhu Lane, Andheri (W) on August 30. The annual event was organised by former Municipal Councilor Barudgar Abdul Aziz (Babloo), president, BMDF.

The event felicitated top-ranking students from minority communities in the recently concluded SSC, HSC ICSE and CBSE streams. This event recognised achievements of the meritorious students by awarding them certificates and prizes.

Babloo Aziz said, “For the 13th consecutive year, we honour the achievements of our students from minority communities in keeping with our motto, ‘Committed to the cause of education’.

Gurudas Kamat, former Minister of State for Communications and IT, ex-Member of Parliament and chief guest of the event, said, “I am happy to see a large number of girls excelling in the exams. This is a great sign. I appreciate the activities of BMDF and the leadership of Babloo,” he added.

The cast and crew of upcoming film, Desi Kattey, was present at the event with director Anand Kumar and actors, Ashutosh Rana, Akhil Kapoor and Tia Bajpai, amongst others.
