After Eid is pushed back by 24 hours the makers of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer postpone the film's release by one day
To make sure his upcoming film releases on Eid, the makers of Shah Rukh Khan’s next have decided to postpone its release by a day. Initially, Eid was believed to fall on August 8. But now that the auspicious day will fall a day later, the film has been pushed to August 9.

A source says, “A national holiday has been declared on August 9. The film is a big budget project. It’s much anticipated as it is the star’s first film with Rohit Shetty. The producers are expecting a huge opening and releasing the film a day later makes wise business decision.”
According to insiders, the film’s team met up a couple of days ago at SRK’S residence and the decision to delay the release was taken unanimously. “We always wanted to come on Eid. And now as the festival will be celebrated on August 9, which also happens to be a bank holiday, it makes sense to release the film on the same day,” says Gaurav Verma, director of Theatrical Distribution, Studios, Disney UTV.u00a0
