Gauri Khan: My style evolves and grows with every space I design

Fashion brand Falguni Shane Peacock on Thursday unveiled its pretwear store at The Dhan Mill in New Delhi. The grand opening was a double celebration, as it also marked the brand's 20th anniversary. Designed by Gauri Khan, the new store is more than just a shopping space--it's a reflection of Falguni Shane Peacock's unique style. Gauri, who has worked on multiple high-end projects over the years, shared her thoughts on how her design sense has evolved over the years. "My design sense evolves every day with each project, bringing new inspiration and a fresh perspective, Gauri told ANI. When asked about what went behind creating the store, Gauri said, "Designing Falguni and Shane's store was about translating their eclectic style into a physical space. We aimed to reflect their luxury pretwear line with a Renaissance-inspired interior." To make the store even more special for the brand's two-decade milestone, Gauri added a "personal touch." "To celebrate Falguni and Shane's 2 decades of journey, we added a personal touch like Renaissance-inspired elements and custom brass monogram furniture," she said. Further describing her journey as "incredible" Gauri added, "Incredible, each project has been a new adventure filled with learning and creativity. My style evolves and grows with every space I design." The new store has been designed to give shoppers a beautiful space to discover Falguni Shane Peacock's ready-to-wear and contemporary collections. Earlier in July, Gauri redid her husband, Shah Rukh Khan's new Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) office. Using a beige backdrop, Gauri incorporated KKR's motto, "Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo Re," into the design. The walls were beautifully decorated with the many trophies the IPL team has won over the years. Gauri has also designed many restaurants including Arth and Sanchos. The celebrity interior designer also owns Gauri Khan Designs which is in Mumbai. Apart from this, Gauri has revamped several restaurants and celebrity homes in suburban Mumbai.  This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies. Shweta echoed her thoughts and said, "A lot of times, people don't learn from other people's experiences. They have to learn from their own experiences. You have to give your children a chance to make those mistakes. It's actually, literally like putting your children out there or letting them go is like taking your heart out and putting it on the table. Because your every instinct is 'I don't want them to get hurt. This is maybe not a right person. This is maybe not a right direction they're going in,' but it's very difficult to say, 'Okay, I'll let you do it.' I think it's the best thing you can do for your child that you can let them make their own mistakes. Because they will gain experience." (With inputs from ANI)

Allahabad HC denies relief to Remo D'Souza in Rs 5 crore cheating case

The Allahabad High Court denied relief to ace choreographer-director Remo D’Souza who filed a petition in connection with a 2016 cheating case. The plea was dismissed by a bench of Justice Rajeev Misra after Remo failed to challenge the chargesheet filed against him. The case dates back eight years when an FIR was lodged by Ghaziabad businessman Satyendra Tyagi. About the case According to Live Law, Tyagi alleged in the FIR that D'Souza had suggested he invest Rs 5 crore in the film ‘Amar Must Die’ which was never made. The businessman was promised that the amount would double to Rs 10 crore after the film’s release. Remo however failed to do so.            View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Remo Dsouza (@remodsouza) The FIR, lodged under Sections 420, 406, and 386 of the IPC also alleged that when Tyagi asked the choreographer to return his money, Remo threatened and intimidated by having underworld don Prasad Pujari call him.  While dismissing Remo’s plea, the Court observed, “Having heard the learned counsel for applicant, the learned A.G.A. for State and upon perusal of record, this Court finds that the charge sheet dated 25.9.2020 submitted against applicant has not been challenged in the present application. In the absence of any challenge to the charge sheet, no relief as prayed for by means of present application can be granted.” In October 2020, a court of A.C.J.M. III, Ghaziabad, took cognizance of the offence but Remo failed to challenge the chargesheet in the case, hence his petition was dismissed.  Remo's work front Remo was recently seen in ‘Madgaon Express’ where he played a shady doctor who is an undercover agent in reality. The film’s story revolves around three young boys played by Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinash Tiwary, who dream about vacationing in Goa. Their dream, however, comes true but only to turn into a nightmare as the three friends, all grown up now, embark on a train journey via Madgaon Express to reach their destination Goa. This marks the dynamic trio's first collaboration on the silver screen in the light-hearted film. Nora Fatehi, Upendra Limaye, and Chhaya Kadam are also a part of the comedy-drama.
