It Ends With Us is the first Colleen Hoover novel adapted for the big screen, as per Deadline.
The film follows Lily Bloom (Lively), a woman who overcomes a traumatic childhood to embark on a new life in Boston.
A chance meeting with charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni) sparks an intense connection.
But as the two fall deeply in love, Lily begins to see sides of Ryle that remind her of her parents' relationship.
When Lily's first love, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar), suddenly reenters her life, her relationship with Ryle is upended.
Lily realizes she must learn to rely on her own strength to make an impossible choice for her future.
"Some people will always prefer the book, and others the movie, but I believe we did our best to honour both," Lively remarked.
"and if you've read the book and then see the movie, I believe you wouldn't be disappointed. We really worked hard on that." Blake said.
Lively emphasized the importance of connecting with fans who have cherished Hoover's story for years. "This story resonated deeply with many people, so there's a great responsibility that comes with that," Lively shared in the interview obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
